Cathryn Grubb
I graduated in 2000 from Flinders University of South Australia. I commenced working in country Victoria (Horsham) and South Australia (Clare) for both education departments before returning to Adelaide. I worked for Autism SA as a Senior Speech Pathologist in the Early Intervention Team, providing individual therapy and consultations to childcare centres, kindergartens/ preschools and primary schools, contributing to group programs, presenting at workshops and training sessions and worked as part of the Diagnostic Team where I participated in diagnostic assessments for ASD.
I set up private practice in 2009, working primarily with children with ASD. I have completed extensive training including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), A Pyramid Approach to Education, Play training, Social Stories, Hanen's "It Takes Two to Talk", "More Than Words" and "Talkability", The Listening Program, Education for Children with Down Syndrome and The Derbyshire Language Scheme.
I am also a Mum and love taking care of my daughter and family. When I'm not being a speech pathologist, I love growing fruit and vegetables, eating out and traveling with my family.
Update for 2021: My family and I have moved from Adelaide to Cairns!! I am now practicing from my new location in Manunda.
